Life Changing Seminar

Last weekend, I attended the 4days Life Education Seminar that 21st Century Academy runs through out Australia as well as at few overseas locations. My 11 years old child came with me to attend as teenagers (well, he's practically a preteen but they didn't really mind it. :)) are free to attend.

Let me tell you, I have experienced an amazing journey with my child. It was such a pleasure and joy to watch him grow dramatically over the weekend. I don't even have the words to explain how I really felt. It was just amazing feeling. I was in my tears at the end of the seminar as I was so overwhelmed by it. Of course, I've learned so much out of this seminar but it was less significant comparing to witnessing my child grow...

First day, he was a little nurvous at the beginning as he was placed in the different team from mine. (We are devided into several teams to work together.) He also got a grown-up buddy as his work mate, whom he'd never met before. That night, when we came back to the hotel room, he started to write down 5 things he is grateful for in his note pad. Something he's learnt from that day of sessions.

Second day, it was a long day. I was very tired at the end of the day and so was he. We are encouraged to play this financially educational game which started way after 12 midnight. I told my son, "Look, it is very late and your bed time past long time ago. We are both tired, so why don't we forget it and go to bed?" Can you guess what his response was? He looked at me rubbing his eyes and said "Mum, we've got to involved! We are playing. If you don't want to, you can watch me play but I'm playing!" I looked at him and thinking "there's some kind of role reversing happening here... I'm usually the one who tells him what to do, aren't I?" And I said to him "Ok, we are playing." with smile.

The third day, right after one particular speaker who talked about the share investing strategy. My boy came to me with such an enthusiasm in his voice saying "Mum! Mum! You have to register me for this! I'm doing it!" At first I thought he's joking. Well, he wasn't. He saw how simple it was to invest in the share markets, and how he can make it pretty much no risk or very low risk. That afternoon, he was talking about share trading nonstop. It was amazing to see him getting so excited about the investment at this young age.

Well, Robert Kiyosaki started to learn about money under the Rich Dad at the age of 9, so there's no reason why 11 years old can't learn it. Right? I am a stron believer of that the right life education can give so much more useful knowledge than the school education. So, I've ordered this share strategy course for my son and we are looking forward to receiving it. It's a Christmas present for him. :) Far better than Playstation I recon.

The fourth day, the last day of the seminar, as we are leaving the venue and driving back home, my little boy asked me "So, have you set a goal for your life? Because I have." with a big smile on his face.

I think that this was the best thing I've ever done for him so far. I am so excited about what awaits for him in the future.

If you would like to change your children's life or your life check this 21st Century Academy Education.

All the best. :)
